I use these essential beauty habits in my daily life and when I stick to them I always feel more attractive.

1. Remove your makeup before you wash your face

When you are washing your face at night you should first remove your make up, and then wash your face.

This is one of the best habits for healthy skin.

It’s common to make the mistake of just washing your face once.

But, when you are removing your makeup, you are not really deep cleaning your pores, that’s why you need 2 steps of washing.

This method is called double cleansing. The makeup removing process removes your makeup, dirt, and excess oils. 

Then the cleansing step will clean anything left over. It will really get into your pores, and treat specific areas of concern like acne or dry skin. 

You can even buy specific products to help you remove make up. 

One highly rated product is called The Makeup Eraser.

It’s a really soft material that you just wet in warm water and then use to wipe off your makeup. 

The great thing about this is that it is reusable and it can last 3-5 years.

I have to admit that I have been bad at this in the past.

It also protects your skin from damaging UV rays, and keeps your complexion even by preventing sun spots. 

Sunscreen helps to keep your skin healthy and smooth. 

For a long time, I didn’t like wearing sunscreen because it felt sticky on my face.

Then I discovered some great sunscreens that don’t give me that sticky feeling. 

Now, I just apply it before I put on my makeup.

You just have to experiment with a few different brands and see what works best for you.

You can even find foundations that already have sunscreen in them. 

My very favorite sunscreen for my face that never breaks me out is the EltaMD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen.

It is my number one recommendation and is also top rated by many. The only problem is that it’s a bit expensive at $36 a bottle. 

While it is expensive, it does last a long time. I buy this when I can, but if I am low on funds, there are other ones that I love too. 

Cheaper options are the Aveeno Protect and Hydrate Sunscreen for Face and the Neutrogena Clear Face Sunblock.

Whatever brand you choose, just make sure it’s one that is specifically for your face so that you don’t break out. 

Sunscreen everyday is a beauty habit to live by that will keep you healthy and beautiful at the same time! 

Plus, you will thank yourself in 5 or 10 years when your skin is still looking amazing. 

3. Eat healthy and take vitamins

What is going on inside your body and the state of your health will show on your skin. 

To keep yourself beautiful, then you should get in the habit of eating better and making sure that you are getting all your vitamins. 

It might seem like this isn’t important, but it really is, not only does it effect your beauty now, your health will have an impact on how your skin ages. 

One of the fastest and healthiest thing that you can start doing today is drinking more water.

Try to drink 8 glasses a day. 

This will help your body rid toxins and keep you from becoming dehydrated, which will have a negative effect on your skin. 

In addition to multi-vitamins there are specific beauty vitamins that you can take. 

Biotin is popular for keeping your hair, skin and nails healthy.

Here is a top rated biotin vitamin since it contains cold-pressed coconut oil to help improve absorption. 

Some of my favorite beauty vitamins are the OLLY brand.

The kind I love is called Undeniable Beauty and contains Biotin, Vitamin C, E and Keratin which all help too keep you looking your best.

Another important skin vitamin is Collagen, which is a protein that helps the elasticity of your skin.

A popular collagen supplement is the Vital Proteins Collagen Peptide. This is unflavored power that you can add to your smoothie or coffee. 

Of course make sure you check with your doctor before taking any new supplements.

4. Have a skincare routine

Did you know that a skincare routine is more than just washing your face?

For years, I thought a skin care routine was just not that important.

Then I actually started sticking to a skincare routine and was amazed by my results. 

A skincare routine consist of steps that you do each night and morning to care for your skin.

Skin care routines can be simple or advanced, but they help to target your specific skincare needs and get your skin looking the best it can be. 

An example of a skincare routine would be a pre-clenser, cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer.

If you are new to a skincare routine it might help you to buy a set that includes instructions and all the products that you need. 

If you don’t have a skincare routine, they you should really consider this one of the most important beauty habits to live by.

It will make sure that your skin is always healthy and looking clean and clear.

Healthy skin is beautiful skin, and when your skin is healthy it makes other things look better in your beauty routine, such as applying your makeup. 

Purchasing a set is not required for a skincare routine.

You can just buy or use individual products and make your own routine.

5. Get the best tools for skin care

To keep yourself looking beautiful, you have to make sure that you have habits for healthy skin.  

While skin care products are important, so are skincare tools.

There are so many different types of skincare tools available. 

To keep it simple, I am just going to stick to the few must have tools that I personally love and think that every girl should have in her beauty routine.

The first must have skincare tool is a facial cleansing brush.

By washing your face with a cleansing brush instead of your hands, you will exfoliate dead skin cells, remove oils and debris.

It will really get your skin clean all the way down to your pores. 

This will help to keep your skin healthy and break out free.

If you are not able to buy a facial cleansing brush right now, then you can wash with a wash cloth. 

Instead of just applying your face cleaner right onto your skin, you can put some on a wet cloth and gently wash in circles.

This is better than washing with just your hands, but not as good as using a cleansing tool. 

You can get cleaning tools from very affordable to very expensive.

The ones that I have been using daily have been these silicone cleaners.

They come in a set of 4 on amazon for only 6.99 and they work great for me. 

I have also used this one in the past, which had rotating battery powered brush head and I liked it too.

One face cleaner that I have heard great things about is the Foreo Luna.

It is a silicon cleaning brush but is also battery powered and vibrates to give your skin a really good cleaning. 

It has some great reviews and also is more speedy. It costs around $200. I have not yet personally tried it.

The next beauty habits tool to live by that will help you look your best is an Ice Roller

Ice rollers help shrink your pores, make your skin appear more even, and helps with lymphatic drainage in your face. 

I recently purchased this ice roller from Amazon and I love it. I look forward to using it every morning!

My face always look so even and just more brightened after I use it. 

I don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. It’s super relaxing, it feels like a massage for my face.

The third beauty tool that I would recommend is a satin pillow case. Sleeping on a satin pillow case is gentle on your hair and skin.

The softness of the satin helps to lessen frizz, and creates less friction between your hair and skin than a normal cotton pillowcase. 

Since we do spend 6-8 hours a night sleeping then we should do what we can to make sure that we are sleeping on the best materials to keep our hair and skin looking beautiful.

 6. Dont forget to exfoliate

This is a beauty tip to live by that you need to try daily or at least weekly.

Exfoliating your skin leaves it brighter, and allows your skin to absorb your beauty products better. 

It can also keep your skin healthy, prevent clogged pores and breakouts.

My skin always feels so much smoother when I exfoliate. 

To exfoliate your face, you can simply do this by using one of the facial cleansing tools that I suggested above. 

Just don’t forget about exfoliating the rest of your body.

Other areas that you can exfoliate are your knees, elbows, feet, heels, ankles and thighs. 

Tools that you can use for exfoliating your body are a loofah, body brush, shower glove, or a foot pumice. 

You can also use a body scrub product to exfoliate your skin.

Body scrubs wash your body, but also have tiny granules that helps to exfoliate while you are washing. 

A good body scrub will really make your arms and legs feel so soft.

The body scrub that I am currently using is the Shea Sugar Scrub by Tree Hut I have the coconut one and it smells so tropical.

Plus it’s very affordable for only $8. 

If you are looking for another great body scrub the Herbivore Crushed Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish is top rated.

It was a Best of Allure Beauty Winner last year, it cost $44 but has some great reviews. 

Another great scrub and the 2nd winner of the Best of Allure Awards last year is The Seaweed Bath Co. Exfoliating Detox Scrub.

It also has some great reviews and it’s a bit cheaper for only $12. 

Any of the options will be great for exfoliating your skin.

Just make sure that you are making time for scrubbing your skin. 

Exfoliating is one of my favorite beauty habits to live by. 

7. Never go to bed without washing your face

It can be so tempting to just fall asleep after a long day without washing your face.

If you want to keep your face clean and clear then you should make sure that you always wash your face before bed. 

At the end of the day is when your face is most dirty. You have makeup on, sweat, and oil.

If you just go to sleep without washing your face then all this is going to sit on your skin the entire night and clog your pores. 

So just remember to wash your face every night, even if you are super tired, because this is one of the top beauty habits to live by.

When your skin is clean and clear it just makes your feel more beautiful.

8. Visit a dermatologist

Is there one area of your skin that is causing you trouble?

Sometimes there can be skin problems such as acne that no over the counter products or skin care tips will resolve. 

If you have been trying to fix a certain skin issue and its just not getting better then I suggest that you visit a dermatologist. 

I know that it can be scary and sometimes overwhelming, but they can really help. 

For years I struggled with cystic acne.

I changed my diet, washed my face, used different products and pretty much tried anything that I could think of to clear up my skin. 

Nothing worked, but once I went to a dermatologist they were able to put me on medication and now my skin is break out free. 

It feels amazing to finally have clear skin.

I really wish that I would have just went years ago so that I would have not had to struggle with acne for so long, and now I have some scaring left over.

From my experience, if you are struggling with some type of skin problem don’t wait like I did, just make an appointment and let them help. 

You will feel so much more attractive once you get your skin problem fixed.

Sometimes there are just problems that need the help of your doctor. 

9. Give your face and hair a break

To keep your hair and skin healthy and beautiful you need to give it a break once in awhile. 

You can do this by just washing your hair every other day or every few days instead of daily.

You can also cut back on heat styling and blow drying. 

The more that you damage your hair the less beautiful that it will look.

That is why you should give it a break once in awhile to keep it healthy. 

Also, don’t forget about giving your skin a break too.

I like to go at least a day or two a week with out wearing makeup, just to let my skin breath. 

If you are going to be at home for the day leave your skin makeup free. Your skin will thank you. 

The less damage that we can cause to our hair and skin the more healthy that it will look.

So try and lessen the damage and your hair and skin will look beautiful and so will you! 

10. Find a routine that works best for you

The most important beauty habits to live by routine is one that you can actually stick to.

Don’t make your beauty routine to complicated just because it’s what someone else suggests. 

Instead find what works for you. Pick the products and habits that are easy for you to use and fit into your daily life. 

What works for one person might not be possible for someone else. So just start experimenting and find out what is best for you.

I really believe that if we treat ourselves right and take time for self-care then we will start to feel better on the inside and that just makes us more beautiful on the outside too.
