1. Homemade glass cleaner

Making glass cleaner at home is simple and quick. All you will need is distilled white vinegar and tap water.

Buy an empty spray bottle and make a mix of 50% tap water and 50% distilled white vinegar. 

Now you have glass cleaner that works for way less than the price you would pay at the store. You already saved yourself a couple dollars! 

Another glass cleaning hack I love is using newspaper instead of paper towels. So if you have newspaper laying around the house try this and save your paper towels. 

It actually works better since it doesn’t leave lint behind on the glass like some paper towels do.

2. DIY Shower cleaner

Showers can be one of the hardest places to clean. Getting all the soap scum and grim from your shower is no easy task. 

You will be surprised at how easy it will be to clean your showers with this simple homemade shower cleaning recipe. 

You will need distilled white vinegar, dawn, and a spray bottle. The ratio mix will be 50% dawn and 50% white vinegar. 

Put the dawn into your spray bottle, and then heat the distilled vinegar in the microwave unit its warm.

Once it’s warm (not too hot) pour it into the spray bottle. Put the lid back on and gently shake to mix. 

The best thing about this shower cleaner is that it doesn’t contain all the toxic ingredients like bleach.

3. Mold remover 

The mold remover is the same as the glass cleaner above. 50% distilled white vinegar and 50% water.

If you want it to smells better you can add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil. 

Tea tree oil is know for killing mold so you can add a couple drops to make it even more powerful.

Vinegar is great to use to make homemade mold cleaner since it contains acetic acid. This helps to kill the mold and stop it from retuning. 

Mold cleaners that you buy over the counter are so bad for you. This DIY mold cleaner is healthy and super cheap to make.

4. Homemade citrus cleaner 

To make this DIY citrus cleaner you will need distilled white vinegar, lemon peels and a large glass jar.

You will want to collect your lemon peels for a couple weeks in the jar. Not the actually lemon part, or the seeds, just the peels. 

After you have a good amount of lemon peels in your jar, fill it up with distilled white vinegar, cover it and let it sit for a week. 

Then strain out the mixture, and fill up 50% of your spray bottle with this lemon citrus mixture, and the rest of the 50% with water.

If you would like you can add a couple drops of essential oil. 

5. DIY oven cleaner

For this simple homemade oven cleaner you will need baking soda and water.

Just a mix of 3 tablespoons of baking soda to 1.5 tablespoons of water. Stir the baking soda and water together.

Apply it to your oven, let it sit for 20 minutes and then wipe it clean. Your oven will look amazing and no harsh chemicals.

6. Homemade all-purpose cleaner

We all need a bottle of all purpose cleaner around the house. To make this all purpose cleaner you will need baking soda, dish soap, white distilled vinegar and water. 

You will use 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap and 2 tablespoons of vinegar.

Place it all into a spray bottle and then fill the rest of the way up with warm water. Shake it and you are all done!
