This locally owned ice cream shop has two convenient locations in popular areas of Redding (Downtown & Hilltop).
They are not only known for their unique and creative ice cream flavors such as Blueberry Goat Cheesecake and Bourbon Butter Pecan, they strive to offer their customers a great experience.
At Taste & See Creamery you will find friendly service, good ambiance, and amazing homemade ice cream with flavors that you won’t find anywhere else.

Most nights they stay open until 11 which makes them one of the few ice cream shops in the area that stays open past 10.
The downtown location is conveniently located, but parking is a bit harder to find, and you will have to pay to park. If you visit their Hilltop location, it has free parking and a drive thru.

One of Reddings newest locally owned and operated ice cream shops. They have a great tasting ice cream with a large selection of traditional flavors and a few specialty flavors to choose from.
32 Below Ice Cream shop is in North Redding in an industrial location that is easy and convenient to get to. While it’s a little out of the way from the more busiest parts of Redding, this offers easy parking, and quick service without long lines.

My favorite things about this shop, other than the ice cream, is the ambience and design inside the shop. It’s very clean inside and decorated with ski themed decor.
There is a large indoor seating area, and an adorable ski lift chair on display that you can sit and take photos. The prices are good, and the portions are really big. I got a waffle cone with two scoops and it was huge.
From waffle cones and bowls to banana splits, this adorable ice cream shop is just good ice cream at a reasonable price.
If you have kids you will enjoy quick service, traditional flavors that kids love including bubblegum ice cream, and a family friendly atmosphere. This is quickly becoming a new favorite spot in Redding to get ice cream!
Cookies & Yogurt
Best for: Frozen yogurt with pick your own toppings.

Sometimes it can be hard to find a chain restaurant or shop that has the best ice cream, but at Cold Stone Creamery, I am never disappointed.
Conveniently located in the Discovery Village Shopping Center across from the Mt. Shasta Mall. They have a wide selection of premium ice cream with candy toppings.
Cold Stone makes their ice cream fresh in the store everyday, and it’s always so creamy. They have over 20 flavors to choose from, and are constantly adding new ones.
There are also waffle cones, bowls, shakes, ice cream cookies, sandwiches and more.
While the ice cream is good, and a popular stop for locals, the inside of the shop is small and there are only a few tables for seating.
There are some outdoor tables to relax and enjoy your ice cream as long as it’s not on a really hot Redding summer day, because it might melt fast.
Baskin Robbins
Best for: Flavors we know and love & close to Waterworks Park.

You can’t really go wrong with Baskin Robbins. Since this is one of the most popular chain ice cream shops in California.
It’s easy to find a flavor you will love with over 31 flavors, including their best sellers, and flavors of the month, you always know what to expect when visiting.
From ice cream cones, to shakes, banana splits and specialty ice cream cakes, there are several treats to choose from.
The Redding location is located in an older shopping center just down the road from Water Works Park, making it a convenient location.
I have been here many times and it’s always clean on the inside, the employees are nice, and there is indoor seating.

You can never go wrong with a classic Blizzard! Known for their other delicious treats such as banana splits, and dipped cones there are so many options to choose from.
Of course I would recommend checking out the locally owned shops first, but if they are all too busy, it’s easy to visit DQ.
